March to Freedom

The March to Freedom exhibition honored the 1965 Selma to Montgomery, Alabama voting rights protest marches and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the passage of the landmark Voting Rights Act. The exhibition featured photographs from the collection of The Briscoe Center for American History by renowned photographer James “Spider” Martin, documents from the LBJ Library Archives collection, and photographs from the April 2014 Civil Rights Summit at the LBJ Presidential Library.
