We’re happy you’re planning to visit us at the LBJ Presidential Library. Tickets may be purchased at the admissions desk or in advance.

Library Hours

The LBJ Library is open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The last visitor will be admitted at 4:00 p.m. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Reading Room Hours

The Reading Room is currently open for research on weekdays 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. We are closed on weekends and federal holidays.

Research is by appointment only, and appointment requests must be made at least one week in advance of the date you wish to start your research. Researchers must also conduct a virtual consultation with an archivist before they arrive. To schedule your consultation and appointment please email: johnson.library@nara.gov or call 512-721-0212.
