Free Admission on Explore UT Day.

UPDATE, March 6: The University of Texas at Austin has canceled all Explore UT Day activities. Admission to the library will still be free.

Explore UT Day is Saturday, March 7. In celebration of the festivities on the UT Austin campus, the LBJ Library is offering free admission to all.

Usually one of the library's busiest days of the year, Explore UT is a day-long event on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin that invites Texans of all ages to experience robust research experiences, hands-on demonstrations and experiments, and participate in the richness of the university's scholarship and knowledge.

Location & Parking
The LBJ Presidential Library is located at 2313 Red River St.

Red River Street, from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Clyde Littlefield Drive, is closed. While direct access to the library has not been affected (do not be deterred by the "Local Traffic Only" signage), we recommend accessing Red River Street coming from either Manor Road, located south of the library, or from Dean Keeton Street, located north of the library.

Our parking lot (#38) will be unavailable to visitors. As an alternative, free parking will be available in the surrounding UT parking garages:

  • Manor Garage (MAG)
  • Brazos Garage (BRG)
  • Speedway Garage (SWG)
  • San Jacinto Garage (SJG)
  • 27th Street Garage (TSG)
