On Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, the LBJ Future Forum hosted a discussion on the 2020 census and its implications for Texas' budget, politics, and business as well as what challenges the U.S. Census Bureau and other organizations may have with reaching underreported populations.

The 2020 U.S. census, scheduled for April 1, 2020, will provide critical data that has a direct impact on community funding, state legislative district boundaries, and the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives.
