Sloan Byerly

Sloan Byerly is a government relations consultant at Eric Wright & Associates. He joined the firm in 2022 and was recognized by Capitol Inside as a Rising Star in their 2023 Top 10 Power Rankings. His career spans more than a decade in legislative and public affairs strategy. Known for his relationships on both sides of the aisle, Sloan provides clients with unique insight on the lawmaking process and a proven record of guiding policy proposals through the legislative process.
Before joining Eric Wright & Associates, Sloan served as Chief of Staff to State Representative Travis Clardy, managing Capitol and district staff across two regular sessions and three special sessions and leading a successful re-election campaign. Prior, he served as Legislative Director to Representative Lynn Stucky, where he also led a successful re-election campaign. Early in his career, Sloan worked in the House Committee on Natural Resources under Chairman Jim Keffer. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from The University of Texas at Austin.
