Erin Chancellor

Erin Chancellor is the Vice President of Legal & External Affairs at 1AU Technologies, Inc. Prior to joining 1AU, she spent her legal career in government, most recently as the General Counsel of the Texas Space Commission (TSC), where she previously served as the agency’s first Chief Compliance Officer. Before joining TSC, Erin served in various roles at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), including Interim Executive Director, Director of the Office of Legal Services, Special Counsel to a past TCEQ Chairman, and Staff Attorney for the Superfund and Dry Cleaner Remediation Programs. She also served in the federal government, as a political appointee at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in two roles—EPA Region 6 Chief of Staff in Dallas and Counsel to the Administrator at EPA headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Erin holds a J.D. from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin.
Erin is a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, a Director on the Austin Bar Foundation Board, Past Chair of the State Bar of Texas (SBOT) Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section (ENRLS) Council, and the ENRLS Social Media Committee Chair. She is also engaged with the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association, the Austin Bar Association, the American Bar Association Forum on Air & Space Law, the SBOT Administrative and Public Law Section, and the SBOT Aviation & Space Law Section.
