What We Bring to the Table
Pull up a chair. There’s a place for you here.

Timed to the nation’s 250th anniversary, What We Bring to the Table invites visitors to explore the stories that have shaped American life through one of its most familiar spaces: the kitchen table. Across generations, tables have been places where traditions are shared, values are passed down, and communities are built.

Through personal stories, everyday objects, and immersive moments, the exhibit highlights how people from many backgrounds have lived, worked, and created a sense of home in the United States. A timeline of federal policies and national milestones runs alongside these stories, connecting family experiences to the broader sweep of American history.

At its heart, this exhibit is about connection—how our individual stories come together to form the ever-evolving American story.
