More than 2,600 visitors joined us for Explore UT Day on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Held annually at The University of Texas at Austin, Explore UT aims to inform students, parents, teachers, and community members from across the state about the importance of a public research institution and higher education in Texas. The day-long event invites Texans of all ages to experience robust research experiences, hands-on demonstrations and experiments, and participate in the richness of the university's scholarship and knowledge. Lyndon Baines Johnson: His Life and Times
This exhibit will introduce you to President Johnson through a timeline of his life. You can explore LBJ’s telephone conversations by stopping by our telephone station and hear LBJ making decisions as well as get some laughs with Animatronic LBJ's storytelling.
LBJ's Presidency
This exhibit explores domestic and foreign affairs during LBJ's administration in the 1960s. Our exhibit space will guide you through LBJ's presidency and legacy through images, artifacts, and interactive exhibits.
LBJ in World War II
Did you know that President Lyndon B. Johnson was a member of the United States Naval Reserve and served in World War II? In this exhibit, you will see WWII-era artifacts and learn about the events that led to him receiving the prestigious Silver Star.
