Austin Museum Day! Visit our exhibits, view new films, and listen to private, history-changing telephone conversations between President Johnson and the most influential members of his administration—all at no charge. Free parking is available in Lot 38 at Red River and Interstate 35.

The Austin Museum Partnership has hosted this free, city-wide rediscovery of Austin museums every year since 1998. It provides families with a unique opportunity to access the city's dynamic museum community, including local exhibits and activities at over 40 participating institutions at no charge to the public.

At the LBJ Library:

Experience the 1960s at the LBJ Library’s exhibit Sixty from the ’60s, featuring icons of that era.

2 p.m. – Enjoy a performance by the Pollyanna Theatre Company, a sneak peek at their new play Liberty! Equality! And Fireworks! Designed for 3-5th graders, historic figures will introduce the audience to the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s.

3 p.m. - Free gelato for each visitor.
