Future Forum | Dec, 8 2021 5:30PM - 7:30PM
Join the Future Forum Board and fellow members for cocktails and conversation on Wednesday, December 8, on the outdoor patio at Ani’s Day & Night. We’ll be joined by Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, a local attorney who will speak about the immigration process and the challenges many refugees and migrants face as they enter into the United States.
Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch is the managing partner of Lincoln-Goldfinch Law and specializes in family-based immigration, such as greencards and naturalization, deportation defense, and humanitarian cases such as asylum, U Visa, and VAWA. She serves as Mayor Adler's Commissioner on Immigrant Affairs for the City of Austin, as the pro bono liaison for the American Immigration Lawyers Association Texas Chapter, and as Chair of the Board of Directors of VECINA, an immigration mentoring organization.
In the spirit of the holidays, we invite attendees to bring a donation for Casa Marianella, a local non-profit that welcomes displaced immigrants and promotes self-sufficiency by providing shelter and support services. The most-needed items are men's cold weather clothing and jackets, socks, and underwear. You can see a full wishlist here or make a cash donation online here.
We'll meet at Ani’s Day & Night (7107 E Riverside Dr). Appetizers will be provided. Happy hour specials will apply until 6pm.
Come eat, drink, and get to know your fellow Future Forum members. Please let us know if you plan to attend!
