A Taste of Texas: Food, Immigration & Identity
Future Forum | Nov 10, 2026 6:30PM - 8:30PM
Food is more than what we eat—it tells the stories of where we come from, the traditions we carry, and the cultures that shape who we are.
In conjunction with the LBJ Presidential Library’s exhibition What We Bring to the Table: Tales of History and Home, the Future Forum invites you to a conversation exploring the connections between food and identity. Our speakers will examine how food preserves cultural heritage, carries family traditions across generations, and reflects the evolving story of American life.
Join us for an engaging, moderated discussion followed by a reception and after-hours access to explore What We Bring to the Table.
Confirmed speakers:
- Kareem El-Ghayesh, KG BBQ Owner & CEO
- Amir Hajimaleki, Chef and Owner, Roya
- Moderator: José R. Ralat, Taco Editor, Texas Monthly
