The Atlantic Across America: Texas

Join us for an Evening With journalists from The Atlantic, as The Atlantic Across America tour makes a stop in Austin, Texas. 

With less than a month before the midterms, it is evident how consequential—and contentious—this election cycle will be. In a special event at the LBJ Presidential Library, The Atlantic’s editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, joins The Atlantic’s managing director for events, Evan Smith, for a conversation about the state of journalism that analyzes the stakes for protecting the First Amendment. Then, Atlantic journalists Mark Leibovich, Ashley Parker, Vivian Salama, and Yvonne Wingett Sanchez will take a closer look at what’s really at stake on the midterm ballots—the economy, immigration, voting rights, and more.

This program is hosted by the Friends of the LBJ Library in partnership with The Atlantic as part of the LBJ Foundation's Evening With series.

Location and Parking

The LBJ Auditorium is located on the lower level of the LBJ complex at 2313 Red River St. Access to the auditorium will be through the lobby of the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Parking information will be shared with registered attendees.
