Standard Tours

The LBJ Presidential Library has two standard tours—presidential and mini presidential—available to field trip groups. Please read through all the details and guidelines to ensure you book the tour most suitable for your student group.

Field Trip Groups

  • Grade Range: Pre-K-16. Adult/Senior Groups: please see Group Visits for more information.

Thank you for your interest in bringing your school group to the LBJ Presidential Library. We are excited to share that our museum exhibits will be undergoing a renovation beginning in October 2025 through early spring 2026, which will greatly enhance future visits to the museum. During this time, the entire fourth floor will be closed due to construction.

We are pausing school tours for the duration of the refresh, along with a few months afterwards, so our volunteers will have time to learn the new exhibits. We look forward to new, engaging tours of our renewed exhibits starting in the summer of 2026.

Between October 4 and January 4, we will feature a traveling exhibition from the Grammy Museum entitled Hip Hop America: The Mixtape Exhibit. If your group is interested in visiting for this exhibit, we will be able to accommodate groups no larger than 30 at a time. Please fill out a tour form here.

If Hip Hop America doesn’t fit into your curriculum, this means we will be unable to accommodate your group from October 2025 through May 2026. We hope you understand and will visit us again starting in the 2026-2027 school year.
