Future Forum | Nov, 13 2019 6:30PM - 7:30PM
As the number of people experiencing homelessness in Austin continues to rise and as city leaders, citizens, and community organizations work toward finding solutions, several voices are missing from the articles—the families and children in Austin who are homeless. On Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, the LBJ Future Forum convened a discussion to learn about the solutions for families and children who are homeless in our community, what's still needed, and what we can do as a community to help.
Participants included:
- Susan McDowell, Chief Executive Officer, LifeWorks
- Matthew Mollica, Executive Director, Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO)
- Lyric Wardlow, Homelessness advisor, member of the Homelessness Advisory Committee of Austin (HACA) and ECHO's Membership Council
- Kelly Soucy, Director of Student Emergency Services, The University of Texas at Austin
- Moderator: Jo Kathryn Quinn, President and CEO, Caritas of Austin
