On Thursday, May 18, 2017, the LBJ Future Forum hosted a conversation on how some of Texas' leading ladies are creating diverse and inclusive teams in the workforce to build the next generation of strong women leaders. The conversation focused on mentorship, working in male-dominated fields, claiming a seat at the table, and hard-won lessons from the panelists. A cocktail reception followed the panel.

Participants included:

  • Toya Bell, Deputy Chief Ethics Officer at Texas Health & Human Services System, and Community Steward & Mentor
  • Mellie Price, Executive Director of Technology Innovation at Dell Medical School & Co-Founder of Capital Factory
  • Erica Saenz, Associate Vice President for Community and External Relations, Division of Diversity and Community Engagement, The University of Texas at Austin
  • Emily Ramshaw, Editor-in-Chief, Texas Tribune (moderator)
