In collaboration with Sesame Workshop, the LBJ Presidential Library presents an educator institute for early childhood and early elementary school educators. The workshop is free to current educators. All participants will receive a certificate of completion. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Sesame Street in the Classroom: Using Educational Media to Help Support Preschool Learning
An inside look at Sesame Street and how educational content is created and implemented across media platforms. Come be inspired when designing your lesson plans as we explore videos around our whole child curriculum such as STEM, literacy, math, healthy habits, and kindness. Learn about how to use these resources in your classroom to help kids grow smarter, stronger, and kinder.

Sesame Street in Communities: Supporting Early Learning Basics and Beyond
An inside look at the creation of Sesame Street in Communities: a brand new educational model and resource center, recently launched that uses research-based strategies and materials to guide and support healthy habits in young children, while also engaging the important adults in their lives. Sesame Street in Communities provides educators and service providers with a wealth of free resources designed to engage families in everyday activities to help all children become smarter, stronger, and kinder. In this session, we'll explore these and other Sesame Street resources that will enhance your work with kids and families, particularly around early learning basics.

- Exhibition Now On View: Don't miss our On the Air: 50 Years of Public Broadcasting exhibition! Several iconic artifacts from beloved PBS and NPR programs are featured, including Sesame Street puppets (Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, and Count von Count); Mister Rogers' sweater and sneakers; and, an original painting by Bob Ross, the host of The Joy of Painting.
