The 1960s were a time of great change for the United States. And women saw unbelievable changes during the decade, too. While the Women's Liberation Movement is known and taught to students, let's take a deeper dive into the stories of women who aren't often talked about. Join experts of women's history and gender studies as we explore figures such as Lady Bird Johnson, Fannie Lou Hamer, and even Barbie. "Lady Bird to Women's Lib: Women of the 1960s" will be held at the LBJ Library July 20th and 21st. This workshop is open to all educators and community educators.
Registration for this workshop is $30. The workshop fee includes breakfast & lunch each day and plenty of resources for your curriculum & instruction!
Participants attending "Lady Bird to Women's Lib: Women of the 1960s" will earn 16 CEU hours.
Registration for this event will close at 10:00pm CST on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
