Continued Conversations: Jason Stanford

Last year we introduced a new members-only series titled “Continued Conversations.” The speaker will make remarks and then take questions from the virtual audience.

On September 15 at 11:30 a.m. CDT, we’ll host local author Jason Stanford in a conversation moderated by Mark Updegrove. Stanford will discuss Forget the Alamo!, the provocative new book he co-authored with Bryan Burrough and Chris Tomlinson. The book explores the real story of the Battle of the Alamo, dispelling the myths and exploring why they had their day for so long. Join us to learn about what is fact versus fiction about the iconic Texas battle.

About the Speaker

Jason Stanford is a writer and former communications director for the mayor of Austin. As a political consultant, Stanford has helped elect or reelect at least thirty members of Congress.

Format

Stanford will speak in conversation with Mark Updegrove before answering member questions. We will be using a Zoom meeting.
