60-Minute Civics

Education | Oct 13, 2026 6:30PM - 7:30PM

The LBJ Library Education Department launched 60-Minute Civics, a new virtual program offering an hour of civic learning for educators and lifelong learners.

The inaugural series featured three scaffolded webinars exploring revolutionary ideas throughout U.S. history:

  • October 13: Revolutionary Ideals Throughout U.S. History
  • October 20: The Declaration of Sentiments—Then & Now
  • October 27: “How Do You Measure Freedom?”: Freedom Schools

Each webinar took place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Central Time in October, just in time for National Civics Day. Participants received one hour of continuing education credit for each program attended.

The free program required registration to receive the virtual access link and CEU certificate. The next 60-Minute Civics series was scheduled for spring 2027.
