LBJ PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY IS THROWING AN EPIC BEATLES COSTUME PARTY
Partygoers will have opportunity to win Epiphone Casino Guitar & SXSW Music badges
AUSTIN – October 5, 2015 – The LBJ Presidential Library is celebrating one of the greatest bands of all time by throwing "A Hard Day’s Night," an epic Beatles-inspired Halloween costume party with Beatles tunes, an Abbey Road photo booth, and the chance to tour the current "Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles!" exhibit, curated by the GRAMMY Museum and Fab Four Exhibits.
"A Hard Day’s Night" will take place from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, at the LBJ Library, and includes tunes by Deejay Honeycomb, specialty cocktails, tasty bites and an Abbey Road photo booth with Annie Ray.
Partygoers are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Beatle or with an original costume inspired by an iconic lyric, event or moment. Andy Langer (KGSR), Katie Friel (Tribeza) and Kathy Blackwell (Austin Way) will judge the Beatles-inspired costumes, and the best costume will win an Epiphone Casino Guitar like the one John Lennon made famous and 2016 SXSW Music Badges. The runner up will receive access to a KGSR Music Lounge session and Beatles swag from The Store at LBJ.
"A Hard Day’s Night" is inspired by the LBJ Presidential Library’s current "Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles!" exhibit, curated by the GRAMMY Museum and Fab Four Exhibits, and partygoers will have the opportunity to tour the exhibit during the party. Advance tickets to "A Hard Day’s Night" are $40 and available for purchase online at LBJLibrary.org/events/a-hard-days-night, and $50 tickets can be purchased at the door if available.
