Featured Guest
Our Tuesday, July 18 featured guest is Judy Maggio, KLRU-TV, Austin PBS' News and Public Affairs Editorial Director. Maggio will be reading Moustronaut by Mark Kelly. Following the reading, we'll be making astronaut helmets! Reading and activity best suited for children 10 years old and under.

Maggio is a veteran journalist and leads efforts at KLRU to extend current reporting, looking for innovative new ways to tell stories and to broaden conversations around issues that matter most to the Central Texas community.

She has more than three decades of experience as a lead news anchor in Austin. She served as managing editor at KVUE-TV (1981-2003) and KEYE-TV (2003-2014). Most recently, she has been consulting on communications and video production as well as leading the Engage Breakfast Series for Leadership Austin, moderating its monthly panel discussions with high profile Austinites talking about key issues facing the city.
