LBJ Presidential Library Raises Admission Prices

May 25, 2017

Effective May 31, 2017

The LBJ Presidential Library will be increasing two categories of admission prices for visitors, effective May 31, 2017. Other admission prices will not change.

Changing levels:

Seniors: (62 and over) with valid ID: $7 (previous price $5)

No change for these levels:
Former military with valid ID: $5 (no change)
Youth 13-17: $3 (no change)

Student groups (including school staff) with reservations
The University of Texas at Austin students, faculty, and staff with valid ID

Why Raise Admission Prices:
The LBJ Library will be converting to a new admissions computer system on May 31. "The LBJ Library has consistently been a rich cultural and historical destination and our admission prices have been low compared to similar institutions," said Amy Barbee, executive director, LBJ Foundation. "The largest price increase is $2 and visitors may still take advantage of our many free admission days. Visitor parking will remain free."

Free Admission Days:
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Presidents Day
Explore UT
Memorial Day
Independence Day
August 27 (President Johnson's Birthday)
Austin Museum Day
Veterans Day

The LBJ Presidential Library is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. every day. Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
