The University of Texas is home to the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library, clearly a treasure trove of 1960s U.S. history. Permanent exhibits in the Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill-designed building include a replica of the Oval Office as it looked when LBJ held office; another gallery showcases many of the gifts that the President received during his terms. read more
