General Outgoing Loan Standards of the National Archives & Records Administration
The National Archives and Records Administration and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum have an active loan program and routinely lend artifacts to various museums and institutions for display within museum exhibitions. The following policy is designed to inform museum professionals on the proper procedures for borrowing artifacts from the National Archives and Johnson Library.
Loan Standards…Lyndon B. Johnson Library and Museum Policy Regarding the Photography of Museum Objects
The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum recognizes the occasional need of institutions and the general public to obtain photographs of items within the museum’s collection. The museum staff will attempt to accommodate these requests by making the collection available for photography. However, due to personnel time constraints, the lack of equipment, and expertise, the requesting institution/individual is responsible for performing all of the necessary photography. The following policy outlines the criteria for photographing objects in the museum collection of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
