Free music and ice cream! Celebrate Austin Museum Day on Sunday, September 19th, at the LBJ Library. From 1 to 3 p.m., enjoy the exhibit, CRONKITE: Eyewitness to a Century, then rock to music by “WhoDo,” the Austin blues collective, featuring teenage fiddle sensation, Ruby Jane Smith. Free admission, free parking, free music, free Italian ice cream!

Join us for a screening and discussion of The Fence, Kennedy’s new documentary exploring the fence built along the border of Mexico and Texas, crossing the campus of The University of Texas at Brownsville. Co-sponsored by the Austin Film Festival, HBO, and The Texas Observer.

The LBJ Library and The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History invite you to attend An Evening With Morley Safer and Lesley Stahl on September 16, 2010. In recognition of the special exhibit CRONKITE: Eyewitness to a Century, the CBS correspondents will share their personal memories of Walter Cronkite and discuss his influence on their journalistic careers.
