Helen Thomas, who has had a front row seat to history during her decades as a White House correspondent, will kick off the 2002-2003 "Evening With" series hosted by the Friends of the LBJ Library.
John F. Kennedy was beginning his term as President when Helen Thomas started her job as White House correspondent for United Press International. Now a Hearst Newspapers columnist, Ms. Thomas will discuss life as a journalist covering the White House.
