The LBJ Library and The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History will present An Evening With Morley Safer and Lesley Stahl on September 16 at 6:00 p.m. In recognition of the special exhibit CRONKITE: Eyewitness to a Century, the CBS correspondents will share their personal memories of Walter Cronkite and discuss his influence on their journalistic careers.
Safer joined CBS News in 1964 and has served as a correspondent for 60 Minutes since 1970. Prior to joining 60 Minutes in 1991, Lesley Stahl served as CBS News White House correspondent, moderator of Face the Nation, and co-anchor of America Tonight.
A reception for Friends members will follow in the Great Hall. An RSVP is required in order to attend. Please email your RSVP to friends@lbjlibrary.net as soon as possible, as seating is limited. No guests will be allowed for this program. Parking will be available in the Library visitors' lot (lot #38) and lot #37 (the adjacent lot to the south). Please visit the detailed event website for more information. Photo courtesy of Lesley Stahl and Morley Safer/CBS News.
