Dear Friends,

March will be a big and busy month for the LBJ Library. Tomorrow (March 4) we will feature Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, authors of the best-selling book Game Change, an insider's account to the historic presidential election of 2008.

Later in the month, on March 24, former Chief of Staff, Secretary of the Treasury, and Secretary of State James Baker will be on hand to share his sage views on U.S. politics and domestic and world affairs. Tickets for this program are still available for our Friends members, but if you don't want to miss it I urge you to RSVP now. More details for both March events can be found below.

We also have some big events coming up in April and May. I'll be in touch shortly to let you know about what we'll be featuring then. As always, I look forward to seeing you.

All best,

Mark K. Updegrove
Director

Mr. Halperin and Mr. Heilemann will sign copies of Game Change, available for purchase outside the Auditorium beginning at 5:00 p.m. To assure being able to purchase personally inscribed copies of the book, guests may place advance orders with the LBJ Museum Store online or by calling (512) 232-2396. Books purchased elsewhere will not be signed.

Please read the parking directions mailed to each registered attendee or available online. Parking will be available in lots #39, 40, and 41 and Manor Garage beginning at 5:00 p.m. -- please do not park in the Library visitors' lot.
Evening With James A. Baker, III

A reception for Friends members will follow the presentation. Please return the postcard enclosed with your invitation or email your RSVP to friends@lbjlibrary.net by March 12. An RSVP is required in order to attend.
