Lady Bird Johnson Plaza Renovations
As is evident from the construction surrounding the LBJ Library and Museum and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, work is well underway to repair the leaky and deteriorating LBJ Plaza. The new Plaza will be a tribute to the life and works of Lady Bird Johnson.

Soon, the flat surface of the Plaza will become a rolling arboretum of three elevated knolls reminiscent of the vegetation and landscape of Mrs. Johnson's beloved Texas Hill Country. When completed, the Library will enjoy brand-new classrooms and a renovated 1,000 seat auditorium. The Lady Bird Johnson Plaza is scheduled to be finished in time for spring flowers in 2009.
