Dear Friends,

We have two Evening With events still to come this spring, so I hope you will be able to join us for both. On April 14 at the Alumni Center, Philip Bobbitt will discuss his book Terror and Consent: The Wars for the Twenty-First Century. Former Prime Minister Tony Blair praised the book, deeming it "required reading for political leaders." On May 14 at the Erwin Center, ABC News correspondent Cokie Roberts will pay us a visit to talk about her new piece, Ladies of Liberty. More information to come soon!

Plans are underway for a busy fall. We will continue the LBJ Centennial celebrations and also, on August 27, 2008, open a new exhibit on the American space program. We look forward to including the Friends in these events.

Sincerely,

Betty Sue Flowers
Director
