Friends of the LBJ Library
Founded in 1973 as a means of supporting the LBJ Library, the Friends of the LBJ Library is our traditional membership group. Membership contributions from the Friends have helped make the Library a center of intellectual activity and community leadership while remaining free to the public. Among other benefits, Friends enjoy a series of Evening With programs that bring distinguished lecturers to the Library each year.
We invite you to become a member of the Friends of the LBJ Library.
Future Forum
Founded in 2002, the Future Forum is an active membership organization of the LBJ Library and Museum.
The purpose of the Future Forum is to encourage participation in the Library and its activities, engage members in dialogue about current issues, and encourage greater civic involvement in our community. Join the Future Forum to discuss local, statewide, and national issues with other emerging leaders in the Austin community.
Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation
The Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation is responsible for managing gifts that benefit two institutions at The University of Texas at Austin - The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum and the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs. Given life and resources by President and Lady Bird Johnson, the Foundation provides funding not available from the federal government to enhance the visiting public's experience as well as to give grants for scholars and researchers who come to mine the Library's vast collections. A diverse array of exhibits, symposia and community outreach programs also comes under the umbrella of the Foundation.
Monetary donations to the LBJ Library and Museum can be made to the Foundation.
Volunteer
Volunteering at the LBJ Library and Museum is a wonderful way to become more involved in the Austin community.
We depend on the valuable time and talents of our volunteers to be able to welcome visitors, school groups, and researchers to our institution, among other responsibilities.
