Guided tours are available free of charge to school groups (including students & staff) on weekdays with reservations. One adult is required per 10 students. Guided tours generally last 90 minutes and cannot be provided to groups smaller than 10 or larger than 60 students at a time. These tours are available from September through May. Groups should review our Group Visit Packet prior to arriving at the Library.
Our exhibits lend themselves well to self-guided tours for adults. Guided tours are discouraged for non-school groups.
A special group rate of $5 per person is available to groups of 10 or more with reservations.
To make a tour reservation (guided or self-guided), please complete this online form, and our Visitor Services Staff will get in touch with you. Reservations are filled in the order in which they are received. Because of limited space in the exhibit areas and time restraints, we are not able to accommodate guided tour reservations made less than one month before your visit.
Please contact our Visitor Services Coordinator at Laura.Eggert@nara.gov or (512) 721-0184 with any questions.
For more information about additional programs available for middle and high school students, as well as adult groups, please review our Education page.
