This week's artifact is a 1:24 scale model of the temporary stage designed for the East Room of the White House. (1969.65.1)  Included in the scale model are miniature ballet dancers and actual working chandelier and backstage lighting instruments. The dedication performance was by the Harkness Ballet on Sept 29, 1965.
