Sunglasses with transistor radio

This week's artifact is a pair of sunglasses with a built-in transistor radio and earbud. (1973.3594.1) This was a gift from Benjamin H. Oehlert, whom President Johnson appointed as the Ambassador to Pakistan in 1967.

There is little evidence to whether or not LBJ wore these sunglasses, however, he nonetheless held on to them.
