Spy's Dilemma, Middle/High School
Grade Level: 6th-12th
Number of Students: maximum 60
Time Needed: Approximately 2 hours (extra time needed for larger groups)

At the LBJ Library and Museum, your students can become a Cold War spy for another government. Middle and high school students can participate in a hands-on experiential activity that requires analysis, evaluating, and decision-making using primary documents from the LBJ archives.

Middle and high school students will become spies with their lives on the line. They will analyze documents and make decisions based on whether or not bringing these documents back to their “government” will save their lives. Analysis and decision-making skills are emphasized as students work in groups.

Before bringing students to the LBJ Library to participate in this activity, teachers will receive pre-visit preparation materials for their students.

To schedule a class session for your students at the LBJ Library and Museum or to obtain additional information contact one of our education specialists.
