Register online beginning December 1 for the
CEN-TEX HISTORY FAIR
Date is Saturday, February 18, 2012
at the LBJ Library and Museum

Registration opens Thursday, December 1, 2011 and closes at MIDNIGHT Thursday, January 26, 2012.
ATTENTION:
Fees, historical papers, and websites must be received by NOON Friday, January 27, 2012.
Fees are $5 per student.
Make checks payable to:
"NARA/LBJ Library Gift Fund"
Website entries will be uploaded for judges to access online. Find guidelines for submitting web site entries for the state and regional contests on the National History Day website.
You must create your website by entering the NHD web portal at the above link.
Basic History Day Registration Procedures
Before accessing the online registration system you need to know the name of the regional competition in which you will be participating: CEN-TEX HISTORY FAIR
Important Note: When navigating within the online registration system, please use the RED links at the top of the page to move from page to page. Using the back and forward buttons in your browser will cause you to re-enter some information.
Step One: Teachers
- Teacher proceeds to online registration system at http://tx.nhd.org/ud/templates/register.php
- Teacher selects the appropriate regional contest. CEN-TEX HISTORY FAIR
- Teacher completes his/her personal contact information and assigns him or herself a username and password
- Teacher completes remaining contact information
- Teacher selects the schools with which they are affiliated
- Teacher sets up basic records for the students with which they are associated, assigning each one a username and password
- Teacher sets up initial information about the entries with which they are associated
- Teacher can make or acquire payment information for their students’ entries as their individual situation dictates
Step Two: Students
- Student proceeds to online registration system at http://tx.nhd.org/ud/templates/register.php
- Student selects the appropriate regional contest. CEN-TEX HISTORY FAIR
- Student logs in using the username and password set up and provided by the teacher
- Student completes remaining contact information
- Student completes statements of originality
- Student has parents/guardians complete parent registration section
- Student updates information about their project
- Student completes steps to pay fees or contacts teacher about how fee payment will be made. It is the student’s responsibility to verify that fee payment is made
