What: Author Jodi Picoult featured in the Harry Middleton Lecture Series

(AUSTIN, TX) – Ms. Picoult will discuss her novel The Storyteller (Atria Books, 2/26/13), which is currently #2 on the New York Times bestseller list and will be available for sale from The Store at LBJ that evening.
Ms. Picoult is the author of 19 novels, including the #1 New York Times bestsellers Sing You Home, House Rules, Handle With Care, Change of Heart, Nineteen Minutes, and My Sister’s Keeper. Her last seven novels have debuted at number one on the New York Times bestseller list. Her books are translated into thirty-four languages in thirty-five countries.
Seating is limited, and tickets are required for entry.
Tickets
Tickets are FREE and are available to the public at the front desk of the LBJ Library (2313 Red River Street). Tickets will be distributed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day while supplies last. There will be a limit of two tickets per person.
Book signing
Ms. Picoult will sign and personalize copies of The Storyteller in the upper Auditorium lobby from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. Only copies of The Storyteller purchased from The Store at LBJ will be signed. The Store will be selling copies in the upper Auditorium lobby starting at 4:30 p.m. You may pre-order by calling the store at (512) 232-2396. Photos are permitted but will not be posed. Tickets are not required for the signing portion of the event.

About the Harry Middleton Lectureship:
Lady Bird Johnson established the Harry Middleton Lectureship in 1994 to honor the career, loyalty and legacy of Mr. Middleton, who served in the Johnson administration and as Director of the LBJ Library for 30 years. The lectureship was designed to attract and enrich the learning experiences of UT students and the Austin community. Speakers include former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, Presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford, Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, Tom Brokaw, and playwright and film director David Mamet. The lecture series is co-sponsored by the LBJ Presidential Library and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation.
