Kids these days!

But really! Look at the history of the United States. "Kids" have often been the catalysts for major social and political change. We've seen the impact of youth movements in the factories and at lunch counters, from marches on campuses and cases in the Supreme Court.

At You Gotta Fight!: Youth Movements In America, educators will explore the history of youth action to highlight problems, fight for rights, and advocate for a better nation.  Join us as we travel through what is often deemed as 'misspent youth' by examining those "kids" who have changed the nation with one march, letter, song, and seat at a time.

This program is being hosted in conjunction with Humanities Texas and is part of the Civics for All of US program at the National Archives and Record Administration.

Attendees at You Gotta Fight! will be provided with breakfast, lunch, classroom resources, and 18 hours of CPE credit for their participation.

The workshop starts with a keynote address on the evening of July 24th, followed by 2 full days of learning on July 25th and 26th at the LBJ Library.

Registration for this workshop is $25.00 per participant.
Registration closes Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00pmCST.
